The hue of the wine is a completely opaque deep-purple hue with a dark garnet halo. Vivid aromas suggest kirsch, cinnamon sticks, black licorice, crushed rock, and spearmint. The concentrated fruit impact on the front of the palate is packed with notes of macerated blackberry, raspberry seed, and pomegranate reduction. The mid-palate has more of the structural quality noted by blueberry paste, cedar, and lavender. The long tantalizing finish, lavender floral notes, rose oil, and lilac.
