Deep garnet-purple colored, the Les Trois Croix features notions of baked blackberries, Black Forest cake, and licorice with touches of dried herbs and pencil shavings. Medium to full-bodied, it fills the palate with bright, precise black fruit and savory layers, framed by grainy tannins and finishes with a refreshing lift.

Beautiful dark purple in colour. This is gorgeous, with deep damson fruits rippling with minerality. It isn't overworked but is full of intensity. It has a lot of characteristics of the best limestone plateaux wines of St-Émilion and is one of the value picks of Bordeaux. Excellent.

The 2016 Les Trois Croix is rich, fruity and absolutely gorgeous. Rich red cherry and plum fruit is nicely pushed forward in this succulent, racy Fronsac. Floral overtones add brightness, but this remains a decidedly racy, flamboyant style. In a second tasting, the 2016 showed a bit more oak influence, but in both cases the wine was quite expressive and delicious. Tasted two times.

This offers a vivid beam of cassis and plum puree flavors, with anise and fruitcake accents inlaid throughout. The sleek and fresh finish is framed by a judicious note of apple wood. Drink now through 2029. 5,833 cases made.

Deep in color, the wine offers licorice, crushed stone, and dark cherries from start to finish. You also find polished, silky, dark, red fruits with more crushed rock sensations on the palate. This is the best and sadly the penultimate vintage from the owner Patrick Leon, who recently passed away.
